  • Send what you asked for, like a brochure, worksheet or report
  • Answer your questions and follow up on your project
  • Send our monthly newsletter, the National Mobile Market Brief, when you sign up or request a resource like the toolkit or worksheet. In Canada, we email you about what you asked for, then ask before we keep sending the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Process and ship store orders

Cookies and tracking

How optional tracking works depends on where you are:

  • In Canada, it stays off until you say yes in our banner.
  • Everywhere else, it's on by default, and you can turn it off anytime.

Either way, the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page lets you change your choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers that run our site and tools: Squarespace (website and store), HubSpot (CRM, email, forms, chat), Google (Analytics and Ads), Microsoft (Clarity), Google Workspace (email and files) and our payment processor. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • Partners and funders. We like to connect people working on fresh food access. If a partner operator or a funder is active in your area, we may share basic details with them: your organization's name, location, contact person and what you're working on. We only share with organizations whose work aligns with our mission of making fresh food accessible in every community. Email privacy@thefarmerstruck.com anytime to ask us not to share yours.
  • Our US company, Farmers' Truck USA, to answer US inquiries and fulfill orders.
  • The law. When required by law, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
  • A business sale. If the company is sold or merged, under the same protections as this policy.

Where your data is stored

Most of our tools store data in the United States. That means your information may be processed outside Canada, and may be accessible to authorities there under local law.

We choose providers with strong security and contracts that limit how they use your data. We assess these transfers before using a new tool.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete it.

InformationHow long
Inquiries and leads with no contact from you3 years after your last interaction
Customers and their orders7 years after the last sale, for tax and warranty
Newsletter subscribersUntil you unsubscribe. We keep your email on a do-not-send list after that.
Site analytics (Google Analytics)14 months for visit-level detail. Totals like monthly traffic contain no personal information, so we keep them long term.
Session recordings (Microsoft Clarity)30 days for recordings. Heatmaps and totals contain no personal information, so we keep them long term.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it
  • Stop sending you marketing email
  • Withdraw a consent you gave, like cookies, at any time

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights. In Quebec, you can also ask how a decision about you was made and get your data in a portable format. In some US states, you can opt out of targeted advertising. Turning off tracking in Cookie settings does this.

Email privacy@thefarmerstruck.com to make a request. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within 30 days, at no cost. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or in Quebec to the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Security

We limit access to the people on our team who need it, use two-step login on our main tools, and rely on providers with strong security. No system is perfect. If a breach puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

This site is for organizations, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and note the date below. For big changes, we'll tell subscribers by email.
