Short answer: Put every stop and its schedule on the Farmers’ Truck Map and grow subscribers at each one. Track sales in your point of sale. Compare the two each week to see which stops are working.
Owner: Operator. When: From launch, weekly. Time: 30 minutes a week.
The Farmers’ Truck Map is free for any mobile market operator. It handles stops, schedules and customer reminders.
1. Add every stop and its schedule to the Farmers' Truck Map
Each stop gets its own pin, address and weekly time. The map also shows food access data by census tract, so you can see which stops serve low access areas.
2. Grow subscribers at each stop
Ask every shopper to subscribe to the stop they use. Subscribers get a reminder automatically the morning of the market. Subscriber counts show your reach between markets.
3. Keep stop status current: live, paused or coming soon
Open new stops as Coming Soon and count sign-ups before you launch. If a stop is cancelled or on a break, email its subscribers in one send and set it to Paused.
4. Export sales from your point of sale each week
Pull sales by stop and by payment type: cash, card, SNAP, incentives and vouchers. Add them to your impact tracker, one row per market day.
5. Compare sales and subscribers stop by stop
Growing subscribers with flat sales can point to a product or price issue. Low subscribers and low sales usually point to visibility or the wrong time. Measure and report impact.
6. Act on what you see
Fix one thing per stop at a time: signs, host promotion, schedule or product mix. Give each fix a few weeks before you judge it.
