That’s it. No magic formulas. No complicated rules.

Because when you cook for yourself, things change. You use real ingredients, not mystery additives. You’re not deep-frying everything because deep-frying is a hassle. You start to notice how much oil, salt, and sugar go into a dish—not because someone told you to, but because you’re the one adding it.

Want fried chicken? Make it. Go all in. And then realize it’s a greasy mess to clean up. So you won’t make it every night. And that’s the point.

Cooking isn’t about restriction. It’s about awareness. It’s about realizing that when you’re the one in charge, you naturally make better choices for your nutrition—not because you have to, but because it just makes sense.

Our COO Charlotte Murray shares her family recipe for an easy tomato sauce! (Feeds 4-5, and freezes well)

🧅 Grate 1 onion and 2 carrots.

🔥 Sauté the onion in olive oil over medium heat until caramelized.

🍅 Add a big can of diced tomatoes.

🧂 Season with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices (oregano, basil, or both!).

⏳ Cover and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

🍝 Serve over pasta and enjoy!

Want to mix it up? Try these variations:

Add veggies like mushrooms, bell peppers, or fresh tomatoes.

Stir in minced garlic and chili flakes for a kick.

Toss in ground meat or plant-based protein.

Make it hearty—add kidney beans or lentils for a chili twist.

Blend it smooth for pizza sauce or lasagna.

Thin it out with water or milk for a quick tomato soup.
